He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Nagel and Ida Nagel (Misch); his son Byron Nagel; and his brother Gerald Nagel. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his children, Sharon Nykiel (Daniel) of Lafayette, IN, Daryl Nagel (Lori) of Dallas, TX, Scott Nagel (Sherry) of Brook, IN, Helen Gutwein (Curtis) of Rensselaer, IN and Jeff Nagel (Beth) of West Lafayette, IN; his daughter-in-law Melodye Nagel; and his brother Walter Nagel, Jr. (Velma) of Rensselaer, IN.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
