It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Robert Steinke of Rensselaer, Indiana, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Steinke and Ruth Steinke (Zimmer); his wife Margaret Rose "Maggie" Fritts; his daughter-in-law Lena; and his brother-in-law Calvin Miller.
He is survived by: his sons, Pat Steinke (Dawn), Nick Steinke (Patti), Jeff Steinke, Tony Steinke (Melinda), Tim Steinke (Sue) and Ivan Steinke (Tara); his siblings, Marilyn Miller, Eugene Steinke (Dolly) and John Steinke (Susan); his grandchildren, Courtney, Savannah, Lane, Lily, Garrett, Carly, Trent, Jacob, Sara, Tyler, Madalyn Smoker (Joseph), Joseph, Colton and Carson; and his great grandchild Trey.
