She was predeceased by: her parents, James I. Cooper and Garnett Helene Cooper (Horn); her siblings, Karen A. Minton and James "Mick" Cooper; her stepson Richard Poynter; and her stepdaughter-in-law Sharon Poynter.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Franklin Poynter; her children, Pamela Bourrell of Cedar Lake, IN, Laura Karasoff of Valparaiso, IN, Martha Hedger of North Judson, IN, John Poynter of Rensselaer, IN and Robert Poynter of Rensselaer, IN; her stepchildren, Harland "Frank" Poynter of Maine, Roberta Whitten of Maine and Rebecca Oliver of Richmond, VA; her sibling Thomas Cooper (Marci) of Highland, IN; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Cooper of Hammond, IN and Gene Minton of London, KY.. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Community Church of Rensselaer.
