He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Wilkerson and Francis Wilkerson (Stout); his siblings, Bertha Bowling (Henry), Lester Wilkerson (Peggy), Lawrence Wilkerson (Georgia) and George Wilkerson (Pearl Wilkerson); his wife Adena (Booker); his son David Wilkerson; and his son-in-law Jack Sensenbrenner.

He is survived by: his daughter Jane Collins (Ed); his daughter-in-law Susan Wilkerson (Don Clark); his grandchildren, Brian Ames (Ginee), John Wilkerson, Cindy Brower (late Robbie), Adam Winters, Kristen Wilkerson and Natalie Legel (Kurt); and his great grandchildren, Patrick, Claire, Thomas Ames, Gavin, Levi, Savanah Wilkerson and Jackson Legel.
