He was predeceased by: his father Ronald W. Petty; and his grandson Landon Lovely. He is survived by: his mother Josephine M. Petty (Petrik); his children, Kristi, John and Kendra; his stepson Keith; his sisters, Brenda Donahue (Brian) of Goodland and Laura Disinger (Joseph) of Monticello; and his former wife Tina Petty.
