He was predeceased by: his parents, John Boyd and Mary Boyd (Howe); his siblings, Marvin, Jonny, Jesse and Evelyn; and his grandsons, Matthew and Daniel.

He is survived by: his children, Leslie Benyon of Wolcott, Steven Boyd of Wolcott, Terry Boyd (Jennifer) of DeMotte and Jimmy Boyd (Jody) of Noblesville; his grandchildren, Kathleen, Somer, Julia, Jacob, Morgan, Nathaniel, Shelby, Taylor, Wyatt and Cohen; and his great grandchildren, Kynzie and Payton.

In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 280.
