He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Gibson; his parents, Schley Sears and Esther Sears; and his siblings, William "Bill", Carl "Bud", Arthur Sears, Tillie Martha Mosier and Elsie Ann Snyder.
He is survived by: his sister Wilihminna Carrie Reed (Willie); his children, Jeff Sears (Ying) and Monica Brodbeck (Mark); his granddaughter Cassie Lyons (Andy); and his great grandchildren, Elaina Lyons, Nolan Lyons and Kace Lyons.
