He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold O. Knight Sr. and Murle C. Knight (Fletcher); and his siblings, William Knight, Daniel Knight, Sharon Walton and Norma Jean Knight.

He is survived by: his mother-in-law Patricia Miller; his wife Patricia Knight; his children, David Knight (Jennifer), Allison Greenlee, Tamra Wamsley (John), Kim Gotwals (Eric), Charli Gregory (Rich), Dorothy Knight, Sharon Opsal (Jason), Julie Smith (Mike), Kelly Whipple (Dawn), Jesse Whipple, Wayne Whipple (Jonee) and Cassie Green; and his siblings, Rosie Knight, Francis Vasta and Kenneth Knight. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
