He was predeceased by: his father Eli Wright; his wife Betty Joan Wright (Eubanks); his daughter Frances Joan Wright Stierwalt; and his siblings, Arlo, Frank, John A. Wright, Hallie Truax and Virginia Wingler.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Kay Baughn (Perry Richardson) of Martinsville and Russell Eli Wright (Jonna Marie) of Eminence; his grandchildren, Keith Smith (Liz), Eli Shane Wright (Rachelle), Lori Zoller (Scott), Stephanie Hart (Jamie), Carrie Jones (Chris), Gwen Garthright (Donald) and Cassie Goodwin-Crossley (Matthew); and his great grandchildren, Shelby, Jade Hart, Maggie Simon, Samantha Jones, Ali Zoller, Savannah Wright, Cami Smith, Elizabeth, Katie Lawson, Eli, Lauren Wright, Marly and Barrett Goodwin.
