She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Garrett and Dorothy Garrett (Sharp); and her siblings, Anthony Garrett, Randall Garrett, Raymond Gerald Garrett and Portia Jane Garrett.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Browning (Tim) of Lakeland, FL, Jodi Luttrull (Kevin) of Princeton, Phil Brakmeier (Christa) of Fort Wayne and Gary Brakmeier of Princeton; her siblings, Clifton Garrett (Betty), Verneta Coplen and Shirleen Funkhouser; and her sisters-in-law, Sharon Garrett and Jean Garrett. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
