He was predeceased by: his father Toy William Helm; his wife Glenda Sue Helm (Goodloe); his sons, Edward L. Helm and Stephen E. Helm; his grandsons, Robert W. Helm and Kyle E. Helm; and his siblings, Regina Todd, Barbara Knight, Bessie Meece, Lilli Lamar, Katherine Cross, Joan Biddle and Ernest R. Helm.
He is survived by: his son Robert W. Helm (Kelly); his stepsons, Brian Moore and Jeffrey Moore; and his siblings, Jamie Sharp, Debbie Hall and Judy Abbott. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
