He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Whitehead and Emma Whitehead (Bishop); his wife Fern; and his siblings, William E., Charles R., Jerry Lee Whitehead and Judith Lynn Beard.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Whitehead of Princeton and Chris Whitehead (Jessica) of Ft. Branch; his grandchildren, Josh, Seth Whitehead, Dallis, Savannah and Dalton Whitehead; his great grandchildren, Lydia and Cam Whitehead; and his siblings, Bobby Joe Whitehead of Benton, IL and Rosella Ann Carr of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
