He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorris Smith and Mary Louise Smith (Bennett); and his siblings, Sherri Williams, Darrell Smith and Georgann Schurmeier.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth Smith of Princeton; his children, Tami Smith of Virginia, Danny Smith, Jr. (Rebecca) of Kansas, David Smith (Heather) of Evansville and Derek Smith of Vincennes; and his siblings, Fred Smith (Margie), Stacy Wilderman (Mike), Matt Smith (Brenda) and Angie Mattingly (Keith). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
