He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlin Effinger and Ruby Marie Effinger (Ellis); and his wife Beverly Ann Ellis (Reynolds). He is survived by: his children, Danny Ellis of Wadesville, Indiana, Rebecca Kiesel (Dennis) of Poseyville and Amy Ellis Orman of Evansville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Erin Mullis, Tara Morrow, Britni Ellis, Devin, Bryce Kiesel and Grant Orman; and his great grandchildren, Mckenzie, Kage, Gracelyn Morrow, Paige, Vanessa, Lucy, Barrett Mullis and Harrison Woolston.
Due to the national health crisis and the state mandate, masks are required and social distancing should be observed.
