He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Hassell and Anna Dorothy Weedman (Overton); and his brothers, James and Roy Weedman. He is survived by: his daughters, Tamara Kay Graves (Darrell) and Susan Patton (Tim Benson); his siblings, Robert Weedman, Mary Jane Tenison and Sandra Murphy; his close friend Carol Gilbert; and his pet Punky.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Werry Funeral Homes, Inc. (16 E Fletchall Ave, Poseyville, IN 47633). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
