She was predeceased by: her former husband Andrew C. Baker; her husband James Olin Newman; her children, William Ray Baker, Susie Mills and Rhett Newman; her grandson Billy Ray Jessie; and her siblings, Burl, Gerald, Ralph Smith and Hildred Nichols.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Stephen Baker (Cathy) of Poseyville, Indiana, Bruce Clinton Baker (Lynda) of Poseyville, Indiana, Jeane Koester (John) of St. Wendel and Andrea Goldman (Bart) of Poseyville, Indiana; and her children-in-law, Norman "Skip" Mills, Dixie Akers and Roberta "Robbie" Newman. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
