In loving memory of Ruth Kemp of Portland, Indiana, who departed this world on February 19, 2025 at the age of 103. Ruth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Nisonger and Evelyn Nisonger (Brining); her husband William Kenneth Kemp; her grandchildren, Scottie Neargarder, Billy Bentz, Stevie Bentz and Missy Bentz-Lee; and her great great grandchildren, Hendrick, Harrison and Hadlee Neargarder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marlene Neargarder and Marilyn Bentz (Jack).
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Williamson, Spencer and Penrod Funeral Homes - Portland Chapel (208 N Commerce St, Portland, IN 47371). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed towards Missy Lee Scholarship Fund through The Portland Foundation.
