With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Atkinson of Portland, Indiana, who passed away on September 28, 2021 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Atkinson; and his wife Deborah Greenway. He is survived by: his mother Sharon Atkinson (Upchurch) of Winchester; his children, Michael Atkinson II of Berne, Ange Best of Portland, Julie Hart (Phillip) of Portland and Nicole Butler Best of Portland; and his sisters, Valerie Lynn Strong (Jerry) of Winchester, Vicky Atkinson of Winchester and Paula Bell (Kenneth) of Mendon. He is also survived by Ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
