She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Platt and Ina Platt (Bourke); her spouse Williard Smith; her children, Ronnie Smith and Pamela Dennis; and her grandson Shane Dennis.
She is survived by: her son Terry Smith; and her close friend Frank Hogle.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Williamson, Spencer & Penrod Funeral Homes (208 N Commerce St, Portland, IN 47371).
Memorials may be directed towards the Jay County Cancer Society or Jay County Heart Fund.
