He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman H. Smith and Beatrice E. Smith (Neeley); his wife Kathryn Anne (Scholer); his brother Harold Smith (Christine); his niece Tammy Martin (Tony); and his nephew Gregory Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed towards Trinity United Methodist Church or Jay County Humane Society.
