He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Hayden and Grace Hayden (Borem); and his siblings, Robert Hayden and Nancy Hill. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Franks; his daughters, Tonya Sharp (Kevin) of Clinton, TN., Melinda Hayden of Portland, Tammy Bogenschutz (Marc) of Portland and Rhonda Monroe (Duane) of Portland; his siblings, Les Hayden (Stella) of Winchester, Tom Hayden (Quanda) of Portland and Patty Noble (Gary) of Redkey; his brother-in-law David Hill of Berne, Ten; his grandchildren, Ryan Denney (Shannon) of Redkey, Kyle Denney of Portland, Aaron Bogenschutz (Janel) of Greenwood, Julie Fields (Jesse) of Cincinnati, Taylor Fisher of Muncie, Darren Bogenschutz (Sara) of Albany, Lyndi Snyder of Clinton, TN, Josh Monroe of Portland, Blake Bogenschutz of Portland and Jacob Monroe of Portland; and his great grandchildren, Adriene, Karyssa, Alena, Ariah, Kenize, Declan, Kellen, Boston, Kamden, Ben and Beau.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home (221 N S Meridian St, Portland, IN 47371). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bryant Wesleyan Church (209 S Hendricks St, Bryant, IN 47326).
