Barbara L. Garringer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara L. Garringer (Portland, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Barbara's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Barbara's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as her find rest in the embrace of eternity.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Garringer and Mabel Garringer (Shaneyfelt); her sister Linda Lee Garringer; her niece Cathi Stolte Petrie; and her nephew Larry Stolte.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Jane Garringer Stolte of Spencerville.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Baird Freeman Funeral Home (221 N S Meridian St, Portland, IN 47371). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Portland Foundation to the Barbara L. Garringer Scholarship Fund.
