She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carlton Smelser and Barbara Pauline Smelser (Carmichael); her husband Robert Gordon; her daughters, Lou Ann Zimmerman (Ron), Kay Haffner (Mike) and Melissa Lawson (Eddie); her siblings, Janet Shipp (Dennis), Dick Smelser (Betty) and Joe Smelser (Lisa); her sister-in-law Sarah Smelser; and her brother Carlton Smelser, Jr.. She was also cherished by 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
