It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Lynn Zahrn of Portage, Indiana, born in Michigan City, Indiana, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Zahrn and Geraldine Zahrn (Gotto); and her son Marc Gowin. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Gowin (Suzanne) of Lincoln and Matthew Gowin (Kristina) of La Porte, Indiana; her grandchildren, Kieran, Grace Erin, Caitlin, Liam, Maura, Dylan, Aidan, Ryan, Eva, Evan, Emmett and Elliott; and her siblings, Kathy Klawitter (Tom), Diane Swanson (Bob), Ernie Zahrn, Will Zahrn (Sandra), Don Zahrn (Kimberly) and Jeff Zahrn (Laura). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
