With solemn reverence, we commemorate Myron E. Hanes of Portage, Indiana, whose life came to an end on January 7, 2025 at the age of 67, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron E. Hanes Sr. and Anne Marie O'Connor (Nee Kopil); and his brothers-in-law, Jeff Flatt and Ed Zdobylak. He is survived by: his siblings, David Hanes (Brenda), Jo Anne Doxey, Karen Flatt, Lisa Olson (Rick) and Linda Doyle (Don); and his nieces and nephews, Edward Zdobylak, Jennifer Zdobylak (Troy Smith), Kenneth Olson (Mandy), Andrew Olson, Jenna Olson, Amy Olson, Alyssa Richart (Adam) and Megan Doyle. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342). A prayer was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (509 W Division Rd, Valparaiso, IN 46385).
