He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Osika and Ann Osika. He is survived by: his wife Sheila "Kay" Osika of Portage, IN; his daughter Jamie Karam of Portage, IN; and his grandchildren, Ashton Giangiulio of Portage, IN. and Ariel Karam of Portage, IN..

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in James' honor may be made to the Portage Missionary Baptist Church, 7045 Lenburg Road, Portage, IN 46368.
