She was predeceased by: her parents, Rafaela Sanchez and Santana Vallejo Sanchez; and her sister Maria Esther Alvarez. She is survived by: her husband Ruben Ortiz; her children, Evelyn Ortiz-Davis (Michael), Ruben Ortiz II (Maureen) and Vicky Phillips (Matthew); and her brother Felix Vallejo (Maria). She is also survived by six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ortiz Family.
