He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle William and Wanda Margaret Hammond; his brothers, Vernon Hammond (late Helen), Daniel Hammond (late Jeanne), Benjamin Hammond and Edwin Hammond (Carol); his parents-in-law, Richard and Evelyn Bascom; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Bascom, Sherry Bartley and Bud Groet.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bascom; his sons, Eugene "Jeep" Hammond (Melonie) and Dean Hammond (Kay); his grandsons, Sean, Brian and Benjamin Hammond; his sisters, Carol Shepard (late Bob), Sue Anderson (Jim) and Donna Alexander; his siblings-in-law, Blanche Richardson (Dale), Fran Bascom, Ida Kennedy (Joe), Diane Beckett (John), Shirley Williams (Danny), Ray Bascom (Joyce) and Ken Bartley; and his pet Spot. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
