He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Carr and Nellie Carr; his wife Shirley Carr; his brothers, Robert Carr, Lowell Carr and Donald Carr; his daughter-in-law Judith Carr; his grandson Nicholas Mitchell; and his great grandchild Zoe Ballard.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Mitchell (John), Deborah Goatcher (Bill), Gerald L. Carr, Jr. (Pat), Cathy Ballard (Kevin) and Michael Carr (Joy); his grandchildren, Anthony Mitchell, Rachael Collins (Jason), Jeff Goatcher (Stephanie), Jason Tellado (Melissa), Celia Tellado, Stephanie Rippel (Bill), Steven Erwin (Kara), Michael Murphy (Brittany), Kevin Wesley Ballard (Christine), Danielle Moilanen (Keith), Tanya Reynolds, Jeramiah Carr (Estelle), Isaac Carr (Barbara) and Mariah Johnson (Tyler); and his sister-in-law Madeline Smeltzer. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren.
