With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emily R. Johnson of Portage, Indiana, born in Valparaiso, Indiana, who passed away on December 11, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Schmidt and Clara Schmidt (Fuller); her husband Charles A. Johnson, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Linda Kroenke (Eugene). She is survived by: her brothers, David Johnson (Leslie) of Portage and Charles E. Johnson (Cecelia) of Riverside; her grandsons, Frederick "John" Schmidt (Consuela) and Edward E. Schmidt; and her great grandchildren, Abigail, Belle, Carter, Wyatt and Layne.
