He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith P. Helms and Lettie Maxine Helms (Karrick). He is survived by: his son Nathan D. Helms (Amanda) of Calera, AL; his grandchildren, Hannah of Calera, AL, Riley of Calera, AL and Avery Helms of Calera, AL; and his brothers, Lee W. Helms of Warren, IN and Neil A. Helms (Rebecca) of Van Buren, IN.
