He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Mason and Hilda Mason Lessard; his close friend Laura Monnett; his daughter Leslie Mason; his grandchildren, Lauren and J. P.; his siblings, Mike Mason (Julie), Ed Mason (Velvet), Tom Mason and Melissa Mason; and his aunt Helen Vermillion. He was also cherished by several great-grandchildren.
