He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Daugherty and Dorothy Daugherty (Reinholt); and his siblings, Marilyn Daugherty, Jerry, Don, Jim and Tom Daugherty.

He is survived by: his son Danny Daugherty (Stacie) of Rensselaer; and his siblings, Robert Daugherty of Argos, Kathryn Holcomb of Lowell, Luther Daugherty (Joan) of Lowell, Carolyn Saylor of Grovertown, Barb Gouker of Plymouth, Jane Miller (Dan) of Plymouth and Harold Daugherty (Phyllis) of Plymouth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
