He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles O. Gross and Cleo M. Gross (Pike); his former wife Alice Davidson of Bourbon, Indiana.; his wife Nancy Berry (Alice Gross) of Plymouth, Indiana.; and his daughter Melissa Patrick.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Anderson of Plymouth; his sister Virginia Johnston of Mishawaka, IN; and his children, Donald E. Gross of San Diego, CA, Gregory C. Gross of San Francisco, CA, Laurie L. Allen of Durkee, OR, Jennifer J. Hull (Dave) of Mentone, IN, Melanie VanDyck (Tom) of Ft. Wayne, IN and Andrea Anderson-Lightfoot (Jeff) of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
