He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Butler and Irene Butler (Kirkpatrick); his wives, Carol and Phyllis; and his siblings, Calvin Butler, Bruce Butler and Melva Fear.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Haug (Carl) and Tammy Houghton (Shawn); his stepson James Buchanan (Carrie); and his brother Ben Butler. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren.
