He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ambrose of Washington and Dora Mae Koontz (Zentz); his wife Evelyn Lucille Huff; his son Robin Koontz; and his siblings, Rolland, Lowell, Warren Koontz, Donna Hand and Bontia Koontz.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Koontz of Morgantown, IN, Kendall Koontz of Bremen, Maureen (Jerry) and Elizabeth Baumer (Ron) of Cambridge City, IN; his grandchildren, Adam Koontz (Angela), Kristin Koontz (Brad Parker), Jonathan Koontz (Lisa), Matthew Koontz (Deanna), Joshua Koontz (Karrin), Caleb Koontz (Kirsten), Aaron Koontz (Taryn), Casey Koontz (Ciara), Dakota Koontz (Jennifer Apple), Betsy DeNardi (Vic), Sarah Bachman (Michael), Nathan Isenberg (Hannah), Heidi Koski (Isenberg), Teresa Hill (Cory), Andrea Wright (Ryan) and Jessica Boicourt; his great grandchildren, Calvin D. Koontz, Dylan, Daniel, Zachary, Alexis, Emilyn Koontz, Chloe, Noah Koontz, Easton, Braxton, Leighton, Kamryn Koontz, Lincoln Koontz, Lavender, Cordelia Bachman, Levi Isenberg, Anna, Benjamin Koski, Brandt, Leah, Charlie Hill, Luke, Taylor Wright, Olivia and Eli Boicourt; and his great great grandchild DeLiah Koontz.
