He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester DeLong and Myra DeLong (Gorrell); his wife Marilyn DeLong (Steininger); his son Kenneth L. DeLong; his daughter-in-law Ellen DeLong; his siblings, Betty, Sharon DeLong Hauser and LeRoy DeLong; his brother-in-law Ross Sonday; and his in-laws, Ruth Marvel, Carmen Bateman and Edwin Bateman.
He is survived by: his children, Kerry L. DeLong (Norma) of Osoyoos, British Columbia and Wendy DeLong Grosvenor (Charles) of Park City; his siblings, Nelda DeLong Sonday of Kalamazoo, MI and Tom DeLong (Holly) of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Ellen DeLong Wood (Steve) of British Columbia, Emily DeLong Gamble (Clint) of British Columbia, Stephen Kainuma of British Columbia, Sarah Grosvenor (Ludwig) and JD Grosvenor (Natalie); and his great grandchildren, Catalina, Finn, Rhys and Ingrid. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 9:30 AM and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home (6992 IN-1, Spencerville, IN 46788). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
