He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence D. Wetzel and Reatha O. Wetzel (Dawson); his wife Sylvia J. Wetzel; and his brother Lawrence D. Wetzel. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Brooks (Lynn) of Auburn, Pamela Harrison (Bruce) of Middletown, Jackson Wetzel (Beth) of Fort Worth, James Wetzel of Longwood and Jay Wetzel (Dawn) of Pleasant Lake; and his grandchildren, Gregory Brooks (Audrey), Jeffery Harrison (Lisa), Stephanie Moreno (Dominic), Elizabeth Amburger (Stewart), Melissa Harrison (Jake Parrott), Jeremy Wetzel (Stephanie), Hannah Dickey (Britton), Lauren Adalpe (Jesse), James Matthew Wetzel, Jason Wetzel (Esmeralda), Jonathan Wetzel, Derek Wetzel (Carley), Brittney Crowl (Shane) and Jacob Wetzel. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
