He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Shipe and Iona Shipe (Ulmer); and his siblings, Robert Shipe and Velma Smoker. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Huss; his children, Robert Shipe (Brenda) of Angola, Ronald Shipe of Pleasant Lake, Richard Shipe (Brenda) of Pleasant Lake, Diana Penick (James) of Angola, Donna Thrasher (Mark) of Angola, Debra True (Gary) of Angola and Gloria Amstutz (Rob) of Pleasant Lake; his grandchildren, Christopher Thrasher (Erin), Joshua Thrasher (Tori), Jacob Shipe (Amber), Coty Shipe (Rebecca), Benjamin True (Jennifer), Becky Knox (Trenton), Bethany McDaniel (Travis), Daniel Shipe (Penny), Jennifer Barclay (Tyler), Jessica Conrad (Jack), Derick Shipe (Ashley), Samantha Amstutz, Allison Hamilton (Shayne), Alexa Davis and Katie Miller; his great grandchildren, Vera, Jett, Dash Thrasher, Wren Thrasher, Micah, Levi, Gabriella, Asher Shipe, Luke, Jase, Dylan True, Finnian, Ella McDaniel, Brynlee, Hollis Knox, Austin, Cameron Penick and Brena Barclay; and his sister Betty Rohm of Butler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
