Rex Thomas Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 25, 2023, at the age of 65, Rex Thomas of Plainville, Indiana, born in Washington, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Melvin L. Thomas; his siblings, Harold Ray Thomas and Patricia Ellen Thomas; and his brother-in-law Max Prentice. He is survived by: his wife Julia Thomas; his children, Amber Shimer (David II) and Jonathon Thomas; his grandchildren, Jacob Shimer, Isaac Shimer, Annabeth Shimer, Isabelle Thomas and Anastasia Thomas; his siblings, Margaret Prentice, Garold Thomas (Betty) and Deb Littlefield (Ray); and his sister-in-law Barbara Thomas. He is also survived by his adoptive family; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to Plainville First United Methodist Church or Washington Wesley UMC in honor of Rex.
