He was predeceased by: his father Fredrick Helmond. He is survived by: his brother Fritz; his son Mark; his wife Emma Jean Helmond (Hankins); and his children, Lynn Dunn (Gary), Kathy Tyson, Laura Carter (Mike) and Eric Helmond. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
