He was predeceased by: his parents, Ercel Coen and Helen Coen; his sister Betty Elliott; and his grandson Jimmy Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Coen; and his children, Brian "Mindy" Coen (Brad "Tonya" Coen) and Stacey "Bruce" Stephens. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
