He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Burl and Francis Marie Day (Davis); his siblings, David "Romain" Day, Phyllis Sanford, Cleo Landrey, Colleen VanHook and Dorothy "Dottie" Speck; and his former wives, Patricia Wilson, Tyann Day (Goen) and Cheryl Day (Riley).
He is survived by: his children, Mark Day (Amy) of Cicero, Dea Miller (Mark) of Missouri, Steve Miles (Jerry Nistelback) of New Salem, Misty Jo Strange (Taryn) of Franklin and Amberly Moberly (Brandon) of Texas; his sister Darlene Hadley (Day) of Camby; his close friend Ed Biehle (Karen) of Wilbur; his grandchildren, Amalynn Day-Bostic (Christopher), David Hamble III, Charly Farwell (Daniel), Ethan Day (Leah), Heather Day and Zayne Strange; and his great grandchildren, Jannete and Sawyer Farwell.
