With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nicholas S. Moreland of Plainfield, Indiana, who passed away on May 20, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Moreland and Blanche Moreland (Hannefey); his wife Genevieve Moreland; and his grandchildren, Sheila Bastin and Adrianne Biorkman.

He is survived by: his children, James "Mike" Moreland (Grace), Darl S. Moreland (Maryann) and Deborah G. Compton; his brothers, Robert Moreland (Doyne) and Richard Moreland; his stepbrother Hershel Hannefey; and his grandson Don Bastin. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
