We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2024, at the age of 97, Milton C. Burns of Plainfield, Indiana, born in Brazil, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Burns and Lelia Burns (Buck); his brother James Burns; and his sister-in-law Wilma Burns. He is survived by: his girlfriend Judy Gilbert; his children, Debra Sampson of Brazil and Terry Burns (Gina) of Florida; his grandchildren, Shanna Sampson of Brazil, Jarrod Sampson (Tascha) of Brazil, Erica Garland (Landon) of Florida, Ian Burns (Katy) of Florida and Trevor Burns (Kelsey) of Florida; his great grandchildren, Sage Sampson, Jasmine Garland, Braxton Sampson, Malcolm Garland, Bryar Sampson, Kyson Chapman, Maia Chapman, Emma Burns and George Burns; and his niece Sheila Jones (Frank).

“My wife and I met Milt at the Plainfield Recreation Center. We were amazed that at his age, he continued to go to the gym regularly. He always had a positive attitude and a smile on his face. We feel very blessed to have known him. He spoke of his family often and looked forward to his trips to Florida to visit. Condolences to all of his family. Rest in peace dear friend.”
