It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred M Smith of Plainfield, Indiana, who passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Mildred had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Mildred may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Rice and Edna Rice (Reeves). She is survived by: her children, Susan Marsh and David Smith (Margaret); and her son-in-law Tim Holland. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 24 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Floral Park (425 N Holt Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46222). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM and from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Washington Park North Cemetery (2702 Kessler Blvd W Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46228).
