With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Linda Lou Baker Hickam of Plainfield, Indiana, born in Martinsville, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert James and Betty Pauline Morrison (Finchum); her husband Robert J. Hickam; her son Robert Lee Baker; and her siblings, Vernon Albert, Gerald, James, Glen Edward Morrison and Mary Grace Morrison.
She is survived by: her children, LaDonna Tuttle (Ernie) of Spencer, IN, Betty Lou Benson (Larry) of North Carolina, Rebecca Diaz (David) of Puerto Rico, Suzanne Shipley (David) of Plainfield, IN and Samuel Baker (Aimee) of Monrovia, IN; her daughter-in-law Pamela Baker of Mooresville, IN; and her brothers, Billy Morrison (Earlene) of Martinsville, IN and Rick Morrison (Janene) of Martinsville, IN. She is also survived by mother to her own six children, but also the children in the neighborhood, her nieces and nephews, grandchildren and any child in need of a mother.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center (110 E Poston Rd, Martinsville, IN 46151). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
