With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavern Stephens Polston of Plainfield, Indiana, born in Jabez, Kentucky, who passed away on October 29, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Veno Stephens and Lola Wilson Stephens; her husband Arlo Polston; her sister Irene; her brothers-in-law, Marvin McGowan and Grover Leonidus McGowan; and her parents-in-law, Flonnie and Arvil Polston.
She is survived by: her sister Christine McGowan of Plainfield, IN; her nephew Gregory McGowan (Beverly) of Plainfield, IN; her niece Vickie Spoerle (Kurt) of Carmel, IN; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Lindsey Catellier (Jason), Valerie Horn (Gregory), Melanie Lewis-Walls (Nicholas), Ella Minatel (Michael), Sam Spoerle (Natalie), Stephen McGowan (Shannon) and Philip Spoerle; and also, Allison, Camryn, Delaney, Claire, Kaleigh, Logan, Jacob, Clayton, Garrett, Lucas, Leo and James. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
