With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julia Pauline Jenkel of Plainfield, Indiana, born in West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on May 31, 2022 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Charles Francis; her husband Elvis Herman Jenkel; and her siblings, Joseph Francis and Murillian Allen. She is survived by: her children, Sidney Herness (John Wesley), Karen Fleming (Rich), Colleen Johnson and Jeffrey Jenkel (Cheryl); her grandchildren, David Herness (Julie), Neil Herness (Summer), Jennifer Matranga (Dave), Davey Adams (Kirsten) and Michael Fleming (Carolyn); and her nieces and nephews, Ray Stockton (Jan), Patsy Gower, Jane Allen, Michael Mitchell (Cheyenne) and Jack Mitchell (Charlene). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
