With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Carl Kern of Plainfield, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on July 14, 2023 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Jim Kern and Carole Kern (Schroeder); his wife Lisa (Evans); his sister Wendy (Kern) Shields (John); his siblings-in-law, Brian Evans (Jenni) and Andrea (Evans) Moberly (Matthew); his parents-in-law, Tom and Elaine Evans (Weaver); his nieces and nephews, Miranda (Shields), Miniear (Seth), Nicole Shields, David Shields, Jei Moberly, Anna Moberly, Alex Moberly, Owen Evans and Lily Evans; and his great-niece Neoma Miniear.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Liver Foundation or the National Park Foundation.
